Qualified Aerospace Instructor Cadet Selection – November 2021
Air cadet Sergeant M McCaffrey has become the first member of 1947 (Birstall) Squadron to be selected for the prestigious Qualified Aerospace Instructors Course (QAIC)
And Morgan, 16, is believed to be one of the youngest cadets ever selected for the highly regarded aerospace training programme.
During the eight-month-long process cadets attend weekend training once a month on various RAF bases, and study subjects such as Air Traffic Control, Pilot Studies and Aerodynamics.
Remembrance Parade 2021 – November 2021
Today we return to our first official parade after lockdown. For many of our cadets this would have been their first parade. The squadron turn out in full form to represent the Royal Air Force Air Cadets in Birstall.
Our cadets were a credit to the squadron and did themselves extremely proud. You have one happy staff team.
